A tricky week ahead
Be alert but not alarmed this week as we tackle one of 2026’s more fraught periods.
Accidents due to miscommunication or poor planning are possible as are sudden realisations and the need to revisit what we thought we knew. Ultimately it’ll all be helpful, but with Mars (anger) approaching Uranus (upsets) for an exact conjunction on July 4, we can expect some pretty crazy news items this week. Avoid risky activities if possible, but if you drive/work in construction/kitchens etc definitely follow all safety procedures. This nasty pairing is squaring the nodal axis - it’s definitely not the time to tempt fate.
Adding to the situation Mercury turns retrograde on Tuesday. The Stockmarket might stutter (it often does around the station points) and misinformation could feed the already tense air. It’s a bad week for wars & peace deals - don’t expect breakthroughs.
On Wednesday Jupiter shifts into Leo, activating some good energy in a new house of your chart. This is our ‘lucky’ planet’s annual shift. It’s a nice time to reflect on what has been expanded and made fortunate in your Cancer house over the past year. And while we generally assume growth is good, it can actually manifest in bittersweet ways. Eg, for me, the Cancer house is kids, and both mine have flown the coop this year, leaving me a ‘free bird’. Sounds good on paper, but is trickier to integrate emotionally (Cancer). And I find Jupiter tends to work that way - not all personal growth is comfortable. So check your Leo house & placements and think about how you can apply keywords like ‘growth, opportunity, expansion, meaning and faith’ to that area of life.
All of this is happening overlaid with the recent shift of Chiron in Taurus. I’ll write a whole blog post about that one - it’s significant
So stuff is changing generally, and the next 10 days brings a crisis-like vibe as the universe jolts us into a realignment. ‘Grace’ is a word that doesn’t get used much these days, but it’s a ripper, and highly applicable if you find your life getting hijacked. Whatever has you worked up will pass.
